Ski Day 21: Skimore has been pushing me to get to Snow Ridge after a Lake Effect snowfall. Easier said than done. While there wasn't a ton of lake effect last week, it was enough to get skimore and his buddies to show.
In usual fashion I arrived at Snow Ridge first. Not just customer first, but first. The place was locked up tight 45 minutes before the lifts were to spin...
I made a nuisance of myself and they finally let me in...
North and South Slope, the two big trails, are right outside the window...
I didn't realize that the ski area sits on the eastern edge of the Tug. That puts in on the leeward side.
No matter the place still gets a hell of a lot of snow.
View East from the Lift
The Ridge Runner Chair spins first, so we went up to check out the Ravine.
It's crazy steep and could only work in a place that gets a lot of snow.

View from the Ravine
The Ravine was thin, so we made our way over to the Tbar's 10:30 am opening.
After that skimore and his buddies treated me to lap after lap after lap of untracked pow.
Bean Dip airs it out
For that I will be forever grateful.
The spacing in the trees and the utter lack of understory is astounding...
You can ski anywhere...
"Hey guys ski towards me.... yikes!"
Skimore digs the Ridge
Skirt brings it home.
TRUTH: I don't think I've ever skied 7000 feet of untracked vert in a day.
What a day.
