We decided to have a Euro day, meaning a late breakfast and on the snow at 11:15, which is exactly when it started nuking really light pellet-like powder. Snow King picked up about five inches and it’s still coming down. The best lines were in the woods, where it was soft and boot-top deep.
IMO, the trail map doesn’t convey all the lines and little trails at Snow King. The hill is a lot better than what you’d think looking up at it while driving through town and it has a nice, continuous pitch. Too bad that they didn’t offer night skiing today, I would have been on that.
Just to the left of the skier (on the other side of the fence) is an active cemetery, the only one inside a U.S.ski area.
