Ski Big Bear is on the Indy Pass, somewhat close and we had never been there before. Good enough reason to check it out. It appears to be almost a private area for the upscale neighborhood around it. They had a playground, pool and mini golf for summer use.
We went last Sunday. It’s a small place and an upside down - lodge and parking at the top.
I didn’t think we were there all that early but there was still lots of untouched cord when we arrived. A little firm
The lift fleet is just a few doubles and and some carpets but it was sufficient for the vert and the crowds- at least for Sunday’s crowds
There were lots of houses alongside the trails on both sides.
And the lodge was pretty nice. It had a game room too- were always fans of a good arcade
Overall, Ski Big Bear is a decent little feeder hill. It didn’t hold our interest for very long but it would be a good spot for kids. Seemed well run.
