Woke up this morning with all intentions of getting one last day in at Belle before the holiday week. Turns out last nights flurries became 8+ inches and it's still a blizzard at 7am. Treacherous roads, crowds, and maybe I've lost the passion for chasing powder. If you're heading out enjoy. I imagine Plattekill is getting buried as well as Belle. Have fun and be safe.

Ya gotta dig out b4 ya drive.... and if it's coming down hard enough, driving ain't fun in blizzard conditions.

I was in Arkville this morning for an early meeting. If either of those mountains are claiming those snow totals, they're lying.

Plattekill is claiming 2, Belleayre didn't mention anything. I'm due north of Plattekill and typically get what they do so I assumed... Still snowing here. Wife said the drive to work was awful.

Belle’s webcam shows gondi wind held & not many folks riding the quad. Snow looks good.

I'm due north of Plattekill
How many miles as the crow flies?

Should be a blog post. Maybe for summer. The zen required for somebody who can't make it.

Belle had a couple of inches overnight and an inch during the day. Definitely not a powder day but a good one nonetheless.

29 miles as best I can figure. 44 driving. Strange narrow band storm basically parked right over my house. We got a solid 10, Plattekill claimed 2. It did take some mental fortitude to stay home. Split firewood instead so I was outside. Might hike the state lands today and check how deep the snow is up there.

I drove through that band on the way back north, it was dumping. Margaretville had at least 6 when I drove through.
