A couple years ago at the Plattekill glade day, one of the guys in our group had a folding saw that was far far better quality than any I had used before. I asked him what brand it was and he said “it’s a silky big boy”. When I looked it up later, I discovered that Silky Big Boys start at $80 and all the silky saws were on the expensive side. I was looking at REI earlier because I have a gift card to spend and noticed that they sell silky sand they’re currently on sale (just until Nov 25 though). Even on sale they’re pretty expensive but Harvey can back me up that the big boy is an amazing saw. There was a downed tree- maybe 12-16 inches thick- blocking the bailout path to the right of ice cream Sunday. Normally chainsaw stuff for sure. Three or four of us took turns working it but the saw did an amazing job. I think Dom and his son might have been with us too now that I think of it. Anyway, I’m endorsing silky saws is the point. You have two days to order yours
