One thing that sucks about living in the flatlands is driving through a blizzard to get to the snow. It's really helpful if you can find a place to stay that is near the action. This time I was lucky.
I ran into these dudes who were all excited about a new pump or something. I humored them because it seemed like the thing to do.
It started to snow.
There was a lot of traffic. In the beginning it was all ATVs but after a foot of snow fell it seemed like it all switched to snomobies.
I had some skins with me I hadn't used in two years. It seemed like I should test them out before the morning to see if the glue would still stick. They worked very well. Skiing in the dark is actually not that hard if the snow is perfect.
The next morning, I came across some very strong young men, who wanted to climb the big hill outside. I decided to follow them.
The older men followed.
One thing about the wind up top, we had a nice clean surface to click in.
