Saturday was a great day at Plattekill. But it didn't come without some comeuppance, that left me at a disadvantage when chasing snow. Looking to avoid any kind of driving adventure, I called @Scottski63 and invited myself over to crash Friday night.
We drove up Meeker Hollow Road around 7:50, made first chair, or so we thought.
Up the triple first and right down The Face.
Second run we dropped down to the double. Some wily rascals had schralped Plunge and it looked like they'd had fun.
Ridge Run
North Face
Our third run, on North Face was sublime. I'd had two weeks off, but now I was feeling it, carving big arcs.
Trees were everywhere
It seems odd to say it, but it was easy to get your skis around in tight quarters, especially up top where the snow was a bit fluffier. At first chair it was all fluff t2b. By the afternoon the top was the best and we focused on it.

I spoke to @Roman tonight, as head the ski school, he skis at Plattekill as much as anybody. He said it was the best day of the year. It was certainly the best snow I've skied this season, north or south.
Hope to see you next week.
