We finally got back to Plattekill. Arrived a little after 8.
This means a lot. Look close. It’s on, bro!
What? You never saw a guy carry a table up a chairlift before?
First run on Chute. Then some low angle trees down below, Sundown, a couple cruiser runs....
It started snowing soon after we arrived and kept up all morning.
We moved to the double after a couple runs
We messed around over there for a while. Got into some light trees, Twist, Ridge Run, Cliff etc... fun stuff.
We just revisited all our old favorites from previous visits. We took a break around 11:45 or so. I got chili. The boys got burgers. Danger Boy reports that the burgers are better then they used to be. We lingered long enough to warm up a bit.
Plattekill hasn’t changed, which is good.
The afternoon was more of the same. At some point my phone froze. No more pictures. We took another warm up break around 2. At some point I look up and there’s SkiRay from Alba Adventures.... and then the rest of the Albas too. It was great catching up. Then we headed back out and took a few more runs together. Always fun skiing with the Albas. The boys wanted to be home for the Super Bowl so we departed after that, got on the road about 3:30 I think. We took route 28 this time so we could stop at the Stewart’s for a couple milkshakes. Great day.
