Every year we begin this thread when a NY State ski areas closes. Cockaigne has closed.

Post what you know below, and we'll incorporate it. Try to keep the whining to a minimum. 🤠

This is premature..

Not in New York, but Ober Gatlinburg in Tennessee and Paoli Peaks in Indiana have also closed for the season.

Probably don't need to track closing dates in the southeast since SkiSoutheast does a good job of that. Omni Homestead was the first to announce a closing date.

May only be core trails, but I fully expect Massanutten to stay open through their Snow Moon Fest March 3-5. With the new fan guns, the snow on the main green and blue trails is very deep in comparison to other seasons when there were multiple warm spells that meant practically a re-start for building the base on trails that get more sun exposure.

There will be skiing in WV through mid to late March.

The easiest way for me to remember the Cockaigne closing was to start the thread.

If you keep the stats, then you can provide them to me at the time you feel is appropriate.

Or, next year I could lock the thread until March 15 to help reduce the anguish.

As far as banning me, all we need is another moderator. The software doesn't allow you to ban yourself.

Volunteers?
