There is no simple solution for Covid content. Any unlocked thread remotely related to the topic becomes the defacto covid thread. The topic has such strong political undercurrent, there is always potential for tension.
I've unlocked the Covid and Skiing thread (in the Woodstove) and the New Normal (in the Off Topic). I broke up the Killington Outbreak thread, adding the first 10 posts to the skiing thread, and the rest of it to the NN. I don't want dozens of covid threads, so let's keep it to those two threads. Help me out by posting in the correct thread.
I'll try to leave both threads unlocked and use Reply Bans (7 day and Permanent) to remove people who get out of line, tbd by my own admittedly subjective view. It's not ideal, as what I take as fact, you may see as misinformation. I can't figure out another solution short of banning the content all together.
