Magic Mountain, VT: 12/28/02

When I skied there six times from 2001 to 2005, Magic was churning through owners and operators since reopening in 1997 after a multi-year closure. Of course, I dug the NELSAP-y vibe.

The old map at the base showed defunct Timber Ridge on the looker's left:

What was the terrain like at Timber Ridge? How did it compare to the rest of the mountain?

Magic Almost looks the same now as it did then. I like that guy’s video from Timber Ridge but I don’t understand why he threw his poles at the end.

What was the terrain like at Timber Ridge? How did it compare to the rest of the mountain?

It maxes out at around 750-800' of vert and the trails are more mellow but have character. Good for fresh turns days after most storms.
