Got an invite from a buddy I hadn't seen in awhile to ski Jack Frost with him and his 7yr old son. He purchased a ski house there, and buys Epic passes. Vail now owns Jack Frost and Big Boulder. Nice family hill, 600ft I think, McCauley it ain't, pretty flat. They managed to groom overnight, and everything skied nicely. All the trails that we're open were pretty similar to each other. One lift wasn't spinning, and the terrain park was closed. The trees between trails are skiable earlier in the season, though far from steep, they look alot more fun than the trails.
I'll probably return mid season next year to ski with him again when those trees are in play. It'll be nice being able to travel Friday night, stay over at his house, and take the short walk to the lifts in the morning. An hour and a half from Binghamton.
