Sunday seemed like the day to ski this past weekend for me. Warm, and sunny in the Eastern Cats.
I convinced @Scottski63 to meet me at Hunter.
He was skeptical about shooting for first chair given the locked up base, but I couldn't help myself, and he humored me.
Hunter Mountain sans Racer's
The front side was in the sun, the place to be for first tracks, and all day long.
We started with laps on the Flyer, and rode it until a line developed after maybe four runs. Then we started riding the F.
Milky Glades looking boney
Scott on Broadway
After a while, just because, we went into the shadows on the North and West to ski the scratch, riding the lift and dreaming up our plans to open Westway.
North and West
The Blackhead Range
We skied around waiting for Crossover to soften. There weren't too many bumps on the hill and Crossover faces directly into the sun. Once they warmed up it was all we skied.
Patrol was hanging at the top of Crossover, figuring they could save some time?
As I detailed elsewhere in the early afternoon I got hit by a young girl from behind. It scared me, and I ended with a monster bruise, but I was basically fine. Scott and I sized up our senior citizen selfs and decided to have a beer on the deck and talk about the women in our life (one each).
Day 16. Keep it coming.
