This post is a work in progress. This is our attempt to explain how to pull TRs over from the old forum. We are not specifically asking you to do anything, just providing the info if you really want to know.
Go to the Old TR Forum.
Find the TR you are looking for. (For now I am going to ski advice on how to search the old forum).
Go to the first post in your thread. Do not bring over any posts that are not TRs. If you do we'll delete them. No post that say "I am reserving this space" or "I am here now" or any such nonsense.
REPLY to the post.
Quote the entire TR and copy the entire reply. Don't actually post the reply.
Take what you have copied and PASTE it into a new post into this forum. Give it a proper title. End the title with an asterisk*. I will explain why later.
Hit POST.
Then hit edit to go back into your post. You need to strip out Nabble image tags and add in proper image tags. If you have a lot of pictures this could take a few minutes. This works as follows:
Hit SAVE.
If you do this correctly the images should now show.
Still it is important to note that they are STILL HOSTED ON NABBLE and will disappear when Nabble is abandoned in a few weeks.
By adding those image tags above it allows us to run a program that will copy your images onto our new server and host them here, so they can live on.
*The asterisk is for us. It will help us identify which TRs need our attention.
There are two things we need to do:
• Pull your images over from Nabble so they live on
• Change the date of of your post from today, back to the original date
Once we do that we will remove the asterisk. It is just a way for us to find which TRs need to be addressed.
We know you may not want to do this, and that is fine with us. We just thought you might want to know how to do it.
Try one first to see if it works before you invest a ton of effort.
Please don't split an original single post over two posts in the new forum. If you hit the picture limit (16 pics per post) try to cut down on your images (do you really need more than 16 images). Or email me if your entire creative concept will be destroyed without that crucial 17th image.
Post any questions in this thread.
