A bit of an odd question . . . my Cleveland ski buddy and another Ohio ski club member want to ski together on Dec. 22. Between Holiday Valley and Peek 'n Peak, which would have more open terrain for advanced skiers?

The goal is for planning guided groups during a ski club trip to the European Alps this season.

Holiday Valley has four times the trail length vs Peek n' Peek. So it is very unlikely that The Peak would have more advanced slope length open. However, my son was at The Peak Sunday and it was dumping and ski anywhere conditions. He spent most of the time in the woods, so last weekend The Peak had a lot more tree skiing to offer. In short, go to Holiday Valley unless it is dumping at one of other the lake effect resorts (Peek 'n Peek, Kissing Bridge, Woods Valley, Song, Labrador, McCauley or Snow Ridge).

Thanks! I'll pass the info along.

If you go peekn peak and write about it, I'll try to get you a ticket.
