Very nice day indeed. I was surprised at the great visibility today considering all the rain.
Did you fly?

Did you fly?
Yes , I was a bit disappointed thought the cloud bases were around 4,000' msl which were I fly the ground is close to 1000' . As a safety rule your supposed to look for a place to land at 2,000' so not much room to work with . I wanted to do a cross country flight around 145 miles and probably could have but didn't . Around 3;30 it was like a switch was thrown the bases went up to 5,000.

Saw a whole bunch of hawks and most of them were coming to share my thermals . Usually eagles are the friendly ones, but yesterday they really came in close ,like 30ft away . I flew for 4hrs 15 minutes and could have stayed up a little longer but I saw a party brewing by the one hanger .

Beautiful day for the annual SRT Run/Hike with Freebird and Powerman. Ran into @Steve A who kept popping up somehow seemingly everywhere taking photos of the participants. Kudos to his daughter Allison for crushing the 30 miler.

Thanks to all the volunteers who make this event possible. It truly is a gift to us runners and hikers.

I love this place.
