Ski Day 10: Last night I tried to convince Shaman to ski Whiteface with me today. But he would not budge.

"I've skied Gore everyday this week. It's skiing great, and it's gotten better each day. And it's five minutes from your place! Ski your HOME MOUNTAIN!"

I still wasn't convinced. Then ...

"Look I'll ski with you on a SATURDAY, if you ski Gore."

It was settled.

The day was warm and everything was soft and very skiable.

Open Pit and especially Lower Darby had bumps and loose snow. I spent almost all of my day riding the double and lapping variations on the same route down.

On general principle I did a run on most everything else. It was all carvy, but nothing quite compared to the antigravity machine on the Dark Side.

I only moved my way down toward the lower mountain as I was forced by the progression of lift closures, High Peaks, Straightbrook, Topridge and finally the triple.

I feel like ANYTIME the turns are good this season, I've got to push it to the limit.
