Gore was really nice today. I skied with Armon, Big Dave, Gail and the crew.
First rips at the Bowl were sublime. There was a hard groomed base under six inches of blower. So much fun, people were cheering.
As mentioned before, somehow I resisted the gravitational pull of Barkeater. Run of the day for me was Tahawas, but anything lowish angle was excellent. You could turn anywhere, the cutup snow was easy to ski.
It snowed most of the day. How Gore calls that three inches I have no idea. I'd say at least six. I'd tele'd like 50% of the day, which is a lot for me, and only happens when conditions are prime.
Gail rocks, schooling us on the Powder Pass Poach.
The trails were excellent, after a groom, the skiing should be really good tomorrow too.
I skied like a local quitting when everyone else did around 1pm. Came home to do some nordic and talk to the carpenters.
