Gore Mountain Conditions

According to an article in Lift Blog from 2016, a FGQ with a carpet loader can run at 485ft/min vs 450fpm without a carpet loader according to code.
I was recently skiing at Banff Sunshine and they have a carpet loader on the Wawa FGQ. The first day we were at Sunshine they were running the carpet loader, but the 2nd day the carpet loader was covered with snow and not operating. They did get about 8 inches of snow overnight so maybe that had something to do with the loader being covered? I should have asked. The lift was slower without the carpet loader.

No chance for a "mid station" at the fork of TopRidge and Uncas to make them a bit more lappable right?

Junior worked on Greek’s quad a little bit this past winter. Apparently there’s a space under the carpet that can get clogged up with snow and generate faults and errors. Then they have to either turn off the carpet and throw snow on it or shut down the whole lift long enough to go underneath and dig it out

Greeks' carpet never seemed right early on, lots of stoppage on that lift made it seem to take longer than the lift it replaced.
I noticed the few days I was there this season it was running much smoother, not sure if they re graded the unloading zone as that seemed to have a lot to do with it.
