Hey folks - I am dropping my son off at the Onteora Scout Reservation just inside the Catskills' blue line (Southwest area) about five miles from Livingston Manor this coming Sunday morning.
Are there any good day hikes or watering holes around the area that you are willing to share? Wife and daughter will be down on the island, and I have to have my son up by 9:30 a.m. or so.
Given the drive time, I'd like to stretch out my legs and get into the woods. Last year I popped into Maugop Pond park (which had a some nice walks and a small bushwack to a watering hole). Welcome any input.
