Downhill course for University games

Do we know if the University games next year at Whiteface will use the same downhill course as the 1980 Olympics? And if spectators would be required to buy a lift ticket to spectate on the hill

Do we know if the University games next year at Whiteface will use the same downhill course as the 1980 Olympics?

I don't believe downhill is one of the events. There will be slalom, giant slalom and super-g, along with alpine-combined and mixed parallel slalom. These events will all likely be held on Upper Parkway, Upper Thruway & Draper's Drop.

And if spectators would be required to buy a lift ticket to spectate on the hill

I guess it's possible that they might provide access to the finish area without a lift ticket, if you wanted to walk up, but I have no idea on that.

They widened The Arena at Gore for folks to watch stuff going on there too.

I don't know if FIS points are in play for these races. Either way, checking the homologations (which trails/venues are approved by FIS) would give you a good idea. Homologations can be found at fis-ski.com.
