Have you checked out SteepSeeker yet?
I discovered it last year and joined the Discord server in the fall. The creator is very responsive to comments. For example, after being at Sun Valley, I let him know that Dollar Mountain was missing. That's the completely separate hill that was the original Sun Valley ski mountain that is a few miles away from Bald Mountain where most people ski these days. Dollar is a fully functional ski operation with it's own ski school, rentals, and fancy lodge (with free cubbies).
I've used the interactive map to compare two mountains, especially between different regions. I compared Brian Head with Massanutten this morning. Had a good introduction to Brian Head yesterday. By objective measures, the blacks at Brian Head are "blue." Makes good sense compared to the blacks at Massanutten. Max vertical at Brian Head on the Brian Head peak side is about 1200 ft, while Massanutten is 1100 ft from summit to base lodge and 800 ft for the upper mountain separately. The Giant Steps base is around 9800 ft, while the top of the Giant Step Express lift is 11,000 ft. The other peak, Navaho, is all rated green and blue. It's a great place for beginners and cautious intermediates.
Top of Giant Steps Express at Brian Head, elevation 11,000 ft, Sunday, March 16, 2025
