Daughter invited me to join her and my grandson to our little 250’vert bump. Took her to Big Boulder back in ‘89 when she was a 6 year old tyke and after 4 children later hops on rental sticks and still loves it.
This was a mother’s and sons ski day but gramps snuck in. Fun reminiscing with her of our 94 first Co. trip to Keystone and Breck and our’97 trip to Copper and Loveland when she was 11and14. Can’t put a price on skiing with your 38 yr old daughter and 14 yr old grandson no matter how tall the hill is.

Amazing how quick skiing memories come back from 32 years back with your daughter while riding a 50 year old Hall quad on a 200’hill.
Trying to teach her myself at Shawnee on the Delaware, a professional free from Jeep one on one lesson at Big Boulder where they sent her ski coloring books and corresponded, and her first run in Co. on Schoolmarm at Keystone in ‘94. And our looong double lift ride between the Valley and Basin over rut 6 at Loveland Easter of ‘97.

Now I have the last 8 years of trips with the 3 oldest grandsons and a couple Sunday matinees at Boyne recorded on micro GoPro video.

Someday when I’m long gone they’ll remember grandpa was pretty cool!

Daughter and grandson wouldn’t listen to dad/gramps and rent helmets. Actually grandson can’t fit in his old helmet so his buddies used his and my other grandsons putting them to good use

Gramps had such a good time showing the gang how it done, gotta remember, weight and experience means speed.

Those grandkids are getting big. They'll be able to drive you to the mountain soon!

Track, only the tall blond 14.5 year old is mine
Unfortunately 17 year old Carter who could drive me was born with a bad ACL and is out of the ski scene. But no fear still have little 6 year old Kayli ready to rock and my younger daughter’s kids are 6,3,and 1.B.G,B. So I have lots a training still ahead.
Today gramps spent a C note on high speed sleds
