Finally got my ski season started. Coverage was decent for Nov 25th, but there were some bare spots which is not the norm for them, but last Friday night into Saturday morning they had a power failure and lost about 10-12 hours of prime snowmaking weather. It was around 18 degrees and the best night for the 5 days or so of snowmaking weather. Over the summer they pulled out a double lift that went 2/3rds of the way up the hill and installed a new triple that now goes to the top of what is a new peak that is just getting started. It is a very welcome addition
The day started cloudy and we ended up with blue skies with sunshine and 40. The bloody Mary’s were delicious as always and only $6.
A week ago they got 2 feet of snow and you can see on the South Peak it’s almost gone already.
This is my 37th year of skiing and my 23rd with my daughter and I have to say the last 23 have been great, it may have started out the first 11 years skiing in NY and Mass. But I can truly say the last 23 skiing Michigan mole hills with Megan have been the highlight of my ski career so for. Looking forward to many more.
