Caberfae Mi 2/17/22

My snowjournal buddy Conrad came back out to the flatlands of Michigan to take pictures of some more chair lifts for remontees So we started at Caberfae a day after all the rain for some really firm conditions.
They are putting in a new Dopp triple this summer.
Only good thing about getting old is $25 tickets Tuesday/Thursday.
Spoke to 79 year old ownerTim Meyer Sr.
As Ted has said here many a time they have a great bloody Mary and the brisket sandwich was good. Tonight we go up to Mount Holiday in Traverse City to take pictures of a Saint Lawrence center pole double .Caberfae goes back to the late 30s and has quite the history and keeps it affordable does a great job

Backcountry is all the 40-70s area off to the NEast. I hiked up there a few years back. At one time 20 ropetows

Harvey I will try and get some pics of what the back country looks like now this weekend. They are in the process of making some new runs for the future. Also their blood Mary’s are delicious and just as good as Plattekill’s just a different taste.
