buying lift ticket nightmare

When trying to buy lift tickets for my family I ran into a major SNAFU that nobody could solve. When I (the dad) put in my information it then proceeded to the next guest, my son. When I put in his email address it informed me that the email was already taken. I understand this, It is taken by my son and I was unable to proceed. 2 calls into Gore met with attempts to help, no complaint there, they truly tried to problem solve. The lady on the other end informed me that I was not the first person to call about it. She also informed me that an outsorced vendor was in charge and she was unable to help. The outside vendor had no phone number to call in case of difficulties. I was begging to give them my money but it was not to be. At least not in a bulk, 4 guest, order. Not a pleasent experience. PS found Tech support and sorted it out. You can NOT buy lift tickets for individuals who already have an account. Even if they fall into the teen catergory, and are your child, which is a flaw.

Yeah, that aspect of the WF (ORDA) system is a joke, very user-unfriendly. My family was buying WF tickets for MLK when availability opened yesterday. Because of the delay caused by this nonsense they missed out on Sat tickets, by the time my sister in law got in through the correct account they were gone.

It is so stupid that if a person wants to buy lift tickets for their family they have to provide a separate email address for each member of their family. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

So, if my wife logs in to buy tickets she cannot buy them for me or my kids, because I set them up (used their emails) under my account. That’s where my sister in law got caught. She tried to buy under hers but couldn’t, then by the time she got in under my brother’s account availability was gone.

Frustrating to say the least. I doubt this will be fixed any time soon, if at all. Let it be a warning to others....be prepared to have an email address for everyone you need a ticket for, and once you add those people under one account you can only buy tickets for them from that account.

At least that is how I understand (and successfully navigated) the ORDA ticket buying mess.

Yesterday my friend's frequent skier card didn't work for the fourth day. It wasn't a problem because one of the gates at AE2 was left open, and th lifties would wave her though any gate that wasn't open. I wonder why we pay for lift passes.

Good on ORDA for not inconveniencing us over this.

Ha, I haven’t even gotten to FSC frustrations yet, other than the fact that my FSCs are useless, so far. Since I don’t have the card in hand yet, and haven’t used my first “free” day, I couldn’t use it to preload discounted tickets for the days I just bought. Hoping I get more than my first “free” day on the cards, who knows!

Bristol's ecommerce site is very difficult to navigate also. Glad I have a season pass-making reservations for tickets or lessons is a nightmare.
