Most people wear fancy dress to church on Sundays, but some wear running shoes.

Today, I went to cheer on the faithful runners of the Breakneck Point Trail Runs.

Ranked as one of the toughest trail runs in the Northeast, the course is steep, gnarly and exposed. A bit of rain made for some tricky conditions. Congratulations to all of the finishers. It was a thrill to witness your true grit.

Chapeau to Freebird, Powerman, and all who took a shot at this race. I hiked - hiked mind you, no racing - Breakneck Ridge once. All I can say is, don't look down.

@Ripitz will Freebird be doing the Whiteface Sky race in July?
I don’t think so. Are you planning for it? You’ve done it before if I’m not mistaken. That thing is a BEAST. I’m trying to get him to join me at Wakely which is in July. I’m on the the waitlist. I think his next event is the Great Adirondack Trail Run. You should check it out. It’s put on by the Mountaineer.

Ya might not have to worry bout breaking a neck but yer gonna need some good knees, bug off & waterproof feets.
There’s moose.
Walked a lot in the woods around Piseco in Julys.
Tis a nice jungle that also smells good.

@Ripitz I'm signed up for WF. I've done it twice. First time, the last year it was 25 km and 2x up and down Whiteface, I DNF'ed with dehydration. Finished it when it was cut to 7 miles and one time up and down WF.

I'm signed up for the Patch Sprint on Memorial Day weekend. Great ADK Trail Run: the long race is full. Two weeks might not be enough time to recover.
