Conrad had made it around Lk Mich doing the Indy tour of the UP, Lutsen, Granite and some other even smaller Minn and Wisconsin hills. For some reason he went around Chitown took a left north and invited me to meet him at Bittersweet ( non Indy) for some spring skiing. Being it was supposed to be in the sixties and a week ago I was just at nearby Timber Ridge I wasn’t too excited about the offer. But after finding out their March madness included half off for seniors at $32 on a Saturday I was in, certainly not at $65 and $4/ gal gas.
Been four years since I was here and certainly change is good at this well run Wisconsin resorts owned 40 year old

After repositioning the 22 year old Sweet Poma Express quad they are planning a second HS quad replacing the Snowberry Hall triple which by the way was Halls last installs.

They had nice groomed soft cord and after Conrad had taken his remontees pictures we were off to a small hill just about in Indiana called Swiss Valley where actually Joe Montana skied while at Notre Dame in ‘77!

Unlike Timber Ridge a half hour up the street most of the chairs and towers are freshly painted with the exception of the wooded seat on one lift. Very similar areas TR + SV with a Bavarian theme.

Another good day although at 65 degrees it was soup so for the hour and half ride home I had me some tenders, a two hearted draft with a Michelob Ultra to cool me down and relax and ponder next weekends trip to the UP and return to Norma weather.

Tater tells an interesting story.

Had me some spademans too as an upgrade from some cubcos.
Things looked like the skis were just glued on.

First week in Oxford I went to Jackson and watched the Rebs beat the Irish who went on to win the natty that year with Joe.
Heat didn’t help the northerners in early September in the Deep South.
Later on the Rebs got NCAA sanctioned partly because a booster let some player go huntin on his property, somebody got to sleep on a coach's couch, among other stuff from Hugh Freeze's “Blind Side” abomination ...
