Happy weekend everyone. I hope folks have fun at the Mountaineer's Mountainfest this weekend! I got in a cool tour this morning, old T Bar line up Marble Mountain. Plenty steep, quick approach, coverage was OK but some classic ADK trail skiing. Those trees have really grown in!
Of note: I heard some significant 'whoomphing' in the snow higher up and in drifts at 2100 along the (N facing trail) but saw no fracturing. Definite signs of unstable snow in my mind- I would be cautious of potential avalanches around the High Peaks this week into next, especially in wind-loaded and exposed/steeper areas
