In GSS style, what's Errrrrbody up to for the 4th?

I'll be attending the Becker Wrecker. The Wrecker is an annual 4th party that my buddy has. One of our hunting crew. It's starts on Friday and ends on Monday, this the name. Yeah, we're older now but we can still do it. This party is now in it's second generation.
Let's party!!!!

Family to the cabin, will posts pics.

Cool idea!

annual clam bake. i open clams with my dads clam knife. he passed some years ago and it is one of the treasures i claimed from the estate. the other was his sauce pot. there is something about opening and eating raw clams. could be a sign of warm weather. it brings back fond memories.

That's awesome, Sig.
I too have triggers like that. Fun when they happen.

Man, the becker wrecker sounds like a good time. I’d say post a TR but it’s probably a no pics allowed kind of thing
It really is. My buddy's dad loved the 4th of July and started this party years and years ago. It's morphed into an event where people bring campers, tents, and stay for days. There's no cell service there but I'll post some pics later.
One tradition of this party is the reading of the declaration of independence. It's pretty cool.

Lake. Boat. Paddleboard. Maybe a hike. Golf. Fixing the dock. Hopefully getting some sleep. Fireworks tomorrow night. Big party down the street tonight. Baby/grandparent time.

You know, L-I-V-I-N

Here's the menu
Venison
Wild hog, full hind quarter
Dogs
Burgers
Pork butt
Sausage
Ribs
Sweet corn
All cooked via open fire or smoker
Sounds like it would pair well with a PBR 1776 pack or the new 1844 pack.
There’s definitely some campersgottagopee in both of those offerings.
