Scran-hattan is in the cross-hairs for this one... Pow-day at the mountain formerly known as Montage. I can hear my in-laws complaining from 3,000 miles away. :)??❄️❄️

    The Echo Valley Project 20-21

Annual snowfall is about 80 inches. The lower mountain is basically a big meadow. We keep everything mowed pretty tight so we can open with a base of 8 to 10 inches.

We're about 75 minutes south of the Twisp/Winthrop. The Methow Valley is an amazing spot. The Nordic trail system is worldclass.

Crystal opens today with a 40 inch base. It looks like the vast majority of the mountain will be open. We're off to a pretty good start compared to last year... No word on any other openings in WA or OR. With the way it looks in my backyard, I think we'll have skiing at Mission on Black...

Believe it or not, it was the first time I had ever been tubing... when I was a kid, we used Sleds... the Saucer style was my go-to rig. Our tubing hill is pretty old school. No magic carpets here for the ascent.... all runs must be earned by ascending a 25 degree icy slope that pitches up to...

    The Echo Valley Project 20-21

Preparations are well under way at my favorite feeder hill in the Eastern Cascades. Again this season, I'll be managing the operations of this north central Washington historical institution of intrigue & wonder. It's a labor of love that supplements my side gig as a house husband. Here's...
