I want to ski this weekend, but the possibility of rain makes that a no-go. I can still hit Sugarbush and Killington on legit spring days, hopefully this month. Next weekend looks like rain as well.

I was wrong on Middlebury, last day is 4/5.

When I had IKON, Sugarbush was my base, with occasional stops at Killington/Pico. I bought it for my week at Steamboat and a long weekend at Tremblant.

I see a young man fell to his death in Montana recently, where he was basically blown off the chair (it had no bar). I treat safety bar use like seat belt use, it's simply automatic. Plus, it's state law in VT. I don't see the cultural bravado in not using it. What say you?

Yup...

It was almost too warm to ski today, easily into the upper 60's at Middlebury. The sun was out and the southerly winds were strong.

Jay is the king of wind-holds, especially in March. As for quiet Sundays, most of the city-slickers leave early as it takes most of the day to get to wherever they're from.

Just heard Whitehall's reservoir is still very low and the village is still conserving water. That could go from bad to worse very quickly over there this spring/summer.

Middlebury will be the last weekend in March, that always the end for them regardless of the weather.

The winds were howling today in central VT, made 20 feel like 0. Coldest March day I can remember. Hoping for a calmer day tomorrow.
