    Hunter Conditions

North side announced as closing at 330 on opening day (tomorrow) having me optimistic for Belt Parkway and Way Out (reportedly now with automated snowmaking) being open in addition to Hellgate on down. How bad will the lines be?

    Belleayre Conditions

Last season I believe they opened TTB with Gondola as well as Hawk open, but conditions were pretty slushy on the bottom part. Certainly easier to get better conditions at higher altitude is probably more the issue than wanting to open harder terrain

    Belleayre Conditions

Nice job Belleayre! Figured I was not going to ski til Nov 30 as not worth driving 12 hr r/t for 600 feet of vertical on 2 runs plus a hike. ORDA comes through with 900 feet of vertical on 2 runs with no walk only half the distance away. Making it worth going “off pass” for a longer Skison...

Saw a post on FB that someone called Belleayre and they said they will now only reopen Sunday.

    Belleayre Conditions

Seriously considering Sunday - would be ending my Skison where I started it on the last weekend of November - in each case skiing off pass before/after the Hunter Skison Any basis for comment I read on Facebook speculating about $25 tix for pass holders of other mountains?

    Plattekill Conditions

So did they not open Monday meaning the fresh snow will be untouched on Friday? If so, thinking of springing for a day skiing off pass. How do folks think the snow consistency will be by Friday?

    Hunter Conditions

Was bummed this weekend to note that Empire Glade is now treeless Empire Trail. They really needed another 50 yards of intermediate trail more than one of their few bits of glade terrain?

    Fall Weather 2023

If that is accurate it looks like quite a few areas could come out of this event closer to having a large part of the mountain open even if the rain part puts at risk the snowmaking base on the few now open trails. Particularly as there could be good snowmaking weather mid week, we could see...

Think I knew him from a Grateful Dead forum where he went by Spoogles. We shared a hotel in Salt Lake to ski about 25 years ago

Perhaps NEPA could be the place to ski on Sat with less chance of rain there

Poll: What Catskill Ski Area is Most Different from the Other 3?

Voted Plattekill on account of old school lifts, ample tree skiing, lots left ungroomed, no lines. But really they are 4 very different areas. Hunter dynamited and mobbed, Belleayre bifurcated and then gondolad, Windham increasingly elite. Also hard to say which 2 are most similar. I guess H&W.

    Hunter Conditions

Still no lines at midday. And nice conditions on Belt and Hellgate on down. Looks like next to open will by Minya and Overlook.

    Belleayre Conditions

Perfect conditions on Deer Run today with about 3 inch of soft snow over the base. Seneca and Peekamoose slicker than I would like. 2 minute line at Gondola nothing at Hawk
