Anybody use Curated.com to buy gear?

I swear I just had a better conversation chatting with one of their experts then I did at my local shop. And obviously they have access to way more stuff.

    Winter Weather 21/22

Anyone think Wednesday is a good day to break out midweek in the Adirondacks? Cold as hell the next day+, then Wednesday is in the 40s, followed by rain? Rain? And in the 50s? Wtf? Trying to get a couple hours in before the rain and school break next week. Thinking Wednesday is best...

    West Mountain, NY - 2/9/22

So about 15 years ago I skied West bc it was (and still is) my home mountain and I remember that day being just like yesterday. Beautiful weather. Awesome groomers. No traffic. Midweek. Just pure fun and I watched from the lifts as people who were seemingly "living the dream" glided down the...

    West Mountain, NY - 2/9/22

Not the sexiest mountain the world, but the weather was just too good to not spend an excellent few hours outdoors. I was hoping today would be a Gore day (and I'm sure it was awesome as well) but my schedule didn't work out for a longer drive. Stupid work. And truth be told, if you're...

    Heading out Wednesday

North of Albany or south of Albany is the question. Supposed to be really nice on Wednesday. What say the experts? Mid week limits my options for sure. Was thinking Gore.

For sure, agree. Atomic Betas. I could carve those too, but these K2 Disruption 82ti's hit different. These feel more stable and fast. I felt a bit back on my heels a couple of times bc they rode quicker than I first expected. But I adjusted and they were a lot of fun.

One other thing I'll say is that it's crazy how you can make wide arcs, short turns and really vary your style and radius on these things. I know I'm preaching to the choir, but damn. Just wow.

So I bought a Plattekill ticket last week for Friday, woke up, poked my head outside and said, "Nope, not today." Too cold and I just knew my first day back would be a nightmare if I was freezing. So I swallowed the $62, along with a bit of my pride, and decided to make it a work day. Last...

That's the plan, sir. As long as I don't freeze out or end up on a board. I'd be lying if I said I'm not f'ing nervous like a virgin on prom night. Fingers crossed.

I think I'm going to hit Plattekill (shhhh...I'll keep it quiet!) on Friday morning for my first go around. I've compiled my checklist of gear, equipment, food, etc and seem to be in a good spot heading into my re-entry. Get my daughter on the bus, make sure the car is packed up, double check...

Two things - there is a sizable storm off the pacific coast right now set to land on the NW US where three different models are forecasting a nice dump for us on MLK Jr Day. It's very rare that these three models concur. And my local snowplow guru is already preparing. He's rarely wrong...

I played at Syracuse. Thanks for all of the comments, guys. I actually drove out to Willard the other day just to check it out and found the drive to be a bit dicey at night. West is much closer and I'm thinking of waiting until the hopeful 8-12 inch snow dump on Monday. Been working out...

Great point, Peter. That's a great point, Peter. I've been cycling, working on my legs and a bit on core for a few months in preparation here at the house. But I'm not a small guy - played D1 football back in the 90's - so I've got some miles and some weight on the ol' frame. That's why I'm...
