    MM, my original post was about SLIC becoming the new cable provider in Johnsburg. Harv was excited about that. I related my story about them jacking the rates for basic cable and cancelling our cable there. We live in Queensbury where we have Spectrum for cable and internet.

    Harv, staying put, she will still be working. Its only 34 miles away. MM, I asked if they had a cheaper option and they said that was the cheapest package they offered. We got around 20 channels, didn't even need to have a box.

    We just use the place on weekends. No internet, no cable, just cell phone. Will be putting up an antenna on the roof this summer to see what free air tv is available. I am retiring this year. That was a $500/year savings plus I cancelled our land line at home, another $400/year.
