Light crowds, great corduroy throughout, with a few blades of grass poking their head through the snow in places. Lift ops were blowing snow everywhere.

I guess the thing I don't understand is how Stratton and Mount Snow can be relatively OK while Magic is struggling so bad. I know they have much more resources and money and such but at the end of the day, they pretty much have the same weather.

Cathedral Brook was always off-limits, unless there was a ton of natural snow. And it's still off-limits, unless there is a ton of natural snow. I guess I don't understand the difference.

It's absolutely bonkers how good the conditions are today, just two days after they had 4 inches of 50° rain.

I think the new one is narrower. It certainly feels narrower anyway. The old bridge only has one entry point, off of a blue slope. The new one is fed by a ton of trails, all of varying degrees of difficulty. So there are little kids doing pizza slices getting passed by wasted 16-year-olds...

Seems like nothing was open past Goat Path today. But there's no easy way to get from Goat Path to the Gondola or any other lift. It's like being on a dead-end one-way street.

It rides like a black IMO. Honestly they could label a few black runs as blue. Dot Nebel for example is far easier than Goat Path.

This is kind of where I fall. Except that all those people who might have bought a Windham day pass, and now can't, are going to end up at my already-crowded home mountain.

Expropriate the "club" and let ORDA take control.

Delivery trucks and other vehicles wouldn't be able to get to the Overlook Lodge or the NYSEF building. Plus that would decrease parking spots, which would be less than ideal.

You are definitely in the minority. That doesn't make it right or wrong. But Belleayre became a real mountain the day the gondola opened.
