Any intel from today? Supposed to head up Xmas eve night to ski the next 2/3 days but thinking it may make more sense to just stay home and go to Belleayre. Need to decide by tonight if we’re going to cancel.

As of right now, guns going on Dot top to bottom, Yahoo top to bottom, top of ridge to roaring brook and the bottom of roaring brook as far up as I can see from the Overlook lodge. Can only assume the whole trail is lit up but don’t know for sure.

Trail report says Mohican is open to easy in. Mohican is the trail where 7 loads so it should be easy access.

There is no parking on the lodge side of the bridge. It doesn’t really affect free parking at this time as I’m pretty sure the pay shack and planters haven’t moved. I suspect they will move them back a bit to make more premium parking once things get busier.

You can ski to the bottom of 7 and go past the lift line to Iroquois. Can do it with about 3 pushes on skis, need to remove rear foot on a snowboard. I’m sure they will have Mohican and the other trails down there open soon and there will be no pushing required. Last Saturday, the trail behind...

I’m also hearing Lift 6 is ready to open, but hasn’t yet due to staffing issues. Their seasonal help hasn’t arrived yet. I’m sure they want to have it open for the weekend so we’ll see what happens.

Wifey was there yesterday and said going left off of new 7 “looked” closed, but if you skied up to it there was a break in the rope and it was open. She said Wana was awesome velvet whales.

New lift and new goat path opened today. They ran out of time on the mid station so that won’t be completed this year. The new trail is steep and narrow for a blue, with switchbacks. It feels like Hunter. I suspect it won’t be long before they change the rating to a black as it’s warranted...

And new lift 7 plus new easified goat path opening Saturday along with Iroquois. The snowmaking system is very impressive to put this much volume down in such a short amount of time.

And from there, you should be able to walk right over to the base of the bridge and be on snow, instead of walking/skiing down the steep hill or walking down to the snow between the two lodges.

It’s going to take away some employee parking, preferred parking, and some handicapped too. I haven’t heard any plans but I assume everything will just get pushed down a bit.
