I had no idea Eric was that good on skis. We heard about the accident, but never really knew Eric. It looks like the footage was shot at Timberline Oregon.

Campgottagopee, thank you for taking the time to assemble that post. What an amazing family, and Grant's son and daughter seem to be keeping the skiing gene alive. I'm a bit jealous.

    Greek Peak Conditions

I'm so sorry to hear that Monique is gone. What an amazing family that contributed so much to the area! What is Boo up to? I heard that Grant moved out west, and I believe he and his family lived in Canada for a bit. I believe Gordie was Canadian.

Speaking of which... I know that Gordie passed away about ten years ago, but is Monique still around? I believe they used to live on South Hill Road.

We don't do nearly enough night skiing, but the "Yellow Chair" is a blast at night.

    Greek Peak Conditions

Greek Peak to me is about nostalgia. It's the memory of what it once was. Say what you will about Al Kryger, but he was a true visionary, and risk-taker. There were all sorts of activities happening all over the mountain. Between the ariel ski jumps, DJ's and bands on the mountain, to the two...

They were talking about adding RFID technology back in the spring for this coming ski season, but not certain if that gained any traction. Given that nobody wants to work anymore, it certainly could help with staffing if they could use RFID gates instead of manually checking for tickets.

All of this debate could be resolved if Harvey could convince the My Pillow guy to join the forum.

    Toggenburg Mountain Sold

It's hard to say how successful it is. It's helping to pull in the wedding crowd, as Greek Peak never hosted 100+ weddings prior to the hotel. The parking lot is always full on weekends during the winter. Plus, it's a timeshare, so some of the costs are borne by the timeshare owners, assuming...

    Toggenburg Mountain Sold

Trying to buy an RV has become next to impossible. We have several colleagues and friends who purchased them last year and this. It was slim pickings at nearly list price. Of course, like anything, it too will pass. It's too bad Greek Peak couldn't get their campground open this summer, as they...

    Toggenburg Mountain Sold

The hotel is certainly gorgeous, but a risky investment for sure. I suppose they see additional opportunities with the already 100+ weddings a year they host, as well as function/meeting space. In terms of the campground, I'm not sure about that idea. It's just disappointing that they don't...

" "most well-maintained lift" If Greek Peak has the most well-maintained lifts according to Meier, I'd hate to ski where they have the worst maintained lifts. "John Meier said this summer they are working on three new additions, starting with a $2 million multipurpose facility on Hope Lake...

Yes, please share some photos if you get a chance. We saw some of the initial construction in early June, but I’m sure it is coming together much more than what we saw. I will say that it is in a fantastic location in terms of scenery. Do you know if Greek Peak is doing the actual construction...

    Toggenburg Mountain Sold

I sure hope you are right, and the days of Greek Peak trying to save a few bucks are behind us. Hopefully they learned their lesson with the chair 1A installation. I have a feeling their priorities are on the wedding pavilion and campground this year. It looks like they’re focusing on that side...

    Toggenburg Mountain Sold

That’s a good point about the profitability. I could’ve sworn there was another article more detailed, but could not find it. We used to own a condo at Greek Peak for many years, but sold it and moved on to other mountains. We ended up missing the place so came back to Greek Peak. We were going...
