    Gore Mountain Conditions

I've never been over to that side. I am not a glade skiier. What is the trail like back to the Burnt Ridge quad? Is it flat like Cedars on the other side, or is it actually skiable? I ask because I absolutely love Echo but its a total pain in the ass to get back to the lift to ski it again.

    Belleayre Conditions

For Friday's reopen, absolutely. If temps stay as expected it looks like it would be ready Tuesday afternoon/Wednesday morning if they were staying open this week.

    Belleayre Conditions

If you told me 2 weeks ago I would be able to ski 3-4 full top to bottom runs by this weekend I would have thought you were insane. Belle ops team unbelievable job not just getting open, but multiple trails, and especially Seneca, top to bottom was in absolute tip top confition!

    Ski Vermont 4-Packs

I was surprised I got mine. The website wouldn't load most of the night. Jay, Smuggs and Sugarbush are the plan . . . . may throw a dart for my 4th choice.

Who's got the best cell coverage in the mountains?

This is the exact reason I can't work from our place so I am limited to weekends only. I work overnight shift with no one around to back me up if my service goes out. My company will let me work from pretty much anywhere I want to with the one caveat that I need to be able to actually work. No...

Who's got the best cell coverage in the mountains?

My father called it low voltage. Better known as a brownout. We used to get them on a pretty regular basis up there about 10 years ago during the summers. Not nearly as frequent now but still happens. Actually worse than a blackout because the lower voltage can damage certain components. There...

Who's got the best cell coverage in the mountains?

I’ve had ATT for close to 10 years. Lived in Putnam County and have a summer place on Sacandaga Lake just outside of the Adirondack Park. I’ve taken road trips all over the Northeast. They have improved modestly in the past couple years, but my two cents is ATT absolutely sucks in anything even...

Overweight and lack of conditioning also a major factor!

    Today's Ride

Had the same problem with gloves getting soaked and then figured out most of the sweat was dripping down my arms. Bought a pair of tennis wristbands and problem solved. Now the venting on the back is enough to keep my hands/gloves mostly dry.

The Whole SKI3 Frequent Skier Card Thing

No blackouts good anytime. This to me is an added benefit. If I want to go early or late in the season when rates are typically lower, I have the option of saving these for full price days. Its one way to ski more without fully committing to a fixed number of days upfront. Killington is a...

The Whole SKI3 Frequent Skier Card Thing

A really nice feature of the Killington "K Ticket" is you can buy a bunch of them and then assign them to people later in the season when its time to ski. I am going to buy a bunch before the deadline, and its nice to know I can give one to my daughter if she wants to come along when she's home...

ICE v Electric: Cost and Emissions

How can capacity not be a problem? They can’t handle what they currently have. Agreed it is on a limited peak usage basis, but what is the current percentage of households with an EV out there, 2-3% maybe? Change that number to 50% and everyday becomes peak usage. What is the possibility of...

    Today's Ride

I hit 3 different places in 3 days and each seemed better than the last. Started out in Peck Hill State Forest in Gloversville. I was on the northern section off of Route 399 and it was awesome. Very well maintained trails and totally empty on a Monday morning. If anyone decides to give it a...

    Today's Ride

Plenty of climbing involved elsewhere. Started out hiking so I could eventually ride the trails so it definitely part of the plan but was a real nice surprise/change to not have to. Trailforks is the best app purchase I have ever made. I would probably still be wandering around in there if I...

    Today's Ride

Rode Stewart State Forest for first time. Place is incredible. Probably not technical enough for most of you guys that been riding awhile but I just got my bike about a month ago. I've riden 909 in Pleasant Valley, Granite Knolls in Yorktown, Elm Ridge (loved it), and Tannersville (hated it...

    Ski Vermont 4-Packs

Pretty sure they discontinued that feature last year. Used it 14 or 15 times last year between Belleayre and Gore and never got a free day.

    Ski Vermont 4-Packs

It was never a "Free Day". They charged $115 (I think that was the cost the year I did it) for the card and they claimed your first day was free. Well it wasn't free if you paid $115 for it. It was actually $10 more than a regular full price ticket. It just gave you the future benefit of...
