Aiguille du Midi is a great one. I used to ski in Chamonix every year when I was a teenager (I was living in Brussels back then) and Aiguille was my favorite. It's been so long since I've been on it that I didn't feel I could still list it. Sure nice to see it here though.

I generally agree with what you're saying. Making skiing more affordable is a good thing but when you use terms like "exclusive" and "budget conscious" the way you are it insinuates a class tension that I think is unnecessary here. What's going on at Stowe and elsewhere isn't about rich folks...

I like having some real distance between work and play. I don't think 45 minutes would be enough for me to decompress from city mentality to a more country state of mind.

There was wind this morning but everything that was supposed to be open and running was open and running. I stopped skiing around 11:30 though so I cannot vouch for what happened after that. Conditions were great. I was very surprised that they still hadn't groomed Skyward.

Skyward was excellent today. Much softer than I thought it would be. Heavy but not super heavy generally really fun. I skied Cloudspin going through the poacher's gate and it was very skiable with fresh wind buffed snow. Thin cover over the trees but okay. Mostly I did laps off the summit but...
