Nice spring day for early march. Everything up top skied well. It was my first day at gore this year. Hawkeye , lies and rumor have good coverage. Not sure how much longer the rest of the mountain will last. We need a miracle

i used to get a nice ski discount because I was an employee of NYS. That went away with Covid. Based on the cars lined up on the gore access road, i assumed they were giving something away.

Detroit had some big drops. To me that was the game.

I get the sense that where you ski is a shit show after a storm. Like Harv said awhile back, the smaller mountains in NY are great choices after a storm. Plenty of snow, if you know where to look. I still get amped for a powder day. Want to keep chasing them until my body gives out.

my mini split worked well. i also had two days of fierce winds. It takes a few minutes to kick on in the cold temps, it has a defrost mode. the split is rated below 0. My house is spray foamed though. Could be the best money I ever spent.

my mini split is only required to heat 400 SQFT. It is a supplemental heat source. It did not skip a beat in this past cold snap. It is rated below zero.
