    Winter Weather 21/22

Sorry hit wrong button, certainly DON'T LIKE what Darrin has to offer. Pretty bleak, barely enough to warrant XC skiing on the old rock skis.

Used to be "wildlife" but at least the Coyotes and Eagles were well fed for a day or so.

    Yes You Need Snow Tires

MM you must be like me, older than dirt. I leaned to drive on early to mid 60s big American boats, rwd, biased ply tires, drum brakes w big V-8s. Lot of dynamics going on, along w swing weight. Could bury the speedo in the driveway on glare ice(120) and get up to 5mph. Only when parents weren't...

    Yes You Need Snow Tires

I spent a few years in Colorado late 70s when Audi first put out their AWD sedans. It was noticeable how many were buried off I-70 either in the median or off the right side. Drivers thought they were invinceable. (sp).

    Yes You Need Snow Tires

If you plan on spending most of your winter in the Adirondacks you need real snow tires. I've been doing the snows on steel rims for 30 plus years on vehicles. I tend to keep vehicles for 10 plus years so it works for me. All Weather/All Seasons tires=Worst of All Worlds.

The had no interest in the ski area, they just wanted the summit for the location. So they made a...

Agree Camp. The bottoms of the skis are the important part, not the tops. IMO.

    Big Tupper Thread

Nobody should be holding their breath waiting for this to happen. So the town would be paying to lease the area from the guy who hasn't paid the taxes in years, screwed a whole pile of "contractors" hired to work for him, made unrealistic promises to the locals, never paid for the OWD land and...

    Today's Ride

Late finish bike ride last week, caught this beautiful sunset, got even better but I had miles to go so I couldn't stick around to see the best of it.

    The New Normal

Lots of people crying about their freedom somehow being infringed on for various reasons, but I think their spelling of freedom is more like FREEDUMB. Just my observation.
