    The Indy Pass

What's different is that Indy will have many more locations as of August 28. The contracts are, or at least have been, 1-year contracts. Getting all of them signed and sealed takes a while. They are also actively looking for new locations, not only in N. America but also on other continents.

    The Indy Pass

Here's the full announcement about sales opening up again on August 28. Anyone interested at all should get onto the Wait List. Hard to know how long sales will last, but could be only a few days or perhaps a week or two. The Learn-To-Turn pass is quite a deal for beginners/intermediates who...

    Snow Triple Play Launch Announced

Indy just announced there will be a Learn To Turn beginner pass to cover . . . 3 days at Indy locations that choose to participate. Not just lift tickets. Also includes lessons and rental gear. A reaction to Snow Triple Play? Or simply that great minds think alike? :) The Snow Triple Play...

    Snow Triple Play Launch Announced

Wonder if they have a cap in mind for the total number to be sold? Be interesting to see how long it takes to sell the first 1000.

    Season Passes

The 3 visits must be to at least 2 different locations. One goal is to get people who are introduced to sliding on snow at Big SNOW to go check out what it's like to slide outdoors on the real stuff. The outliers from a location standpoint are the locations in Canada (4 in Quebec and 1 in Nova...

    Summer Weather 2025

Great to hear! Will be in Lake Placid for a long weekend starting on Wed afternoon. Still very much summer in North Carolina.

    Season Passes

You're welcome. Didn't realize I never did a trip report for Bogus here. Good to check the opening time beforehand for Bogus. We went on a Friday. Didn't realize until after we parked that the lifts didn't open up until 9:30am. That morning we weren't trying to get there extra early, so...

    Season Passes

Good to know about Colorado. One of my travel/ski buddies has gotten hooked on Turo. Not necessarily that cheap but when having snow tires is important then can be worth the effort to find a compatible vehicle. Can't communicate with the owner without booking, but easy to cancel. For going...

Lift served skiing in the woods via T-bar, Summer 2025

In case people missed the post by @Sbob in the Summer 2025 thread of skiing on plastic in the woods . . . The construction apparently started in late June and lasted through early August. Had to wait for the delivery of new mats. Not a project by young people, but seasoned skiers who are...

It's Time to Ski New York

Interesting list: 1) Whiteface 2) Gore 3) Greek Peak 4) Catamount 5) Plattekill 6) Hickory Greek, Catamount, and Hickory are on the Indy Pass for 2025-26.

That's quite a list for Platty pass holders! Wonder how they got Jackson Hole interested. Also noticed Big SNOW and Mountain Creek.

    Season Passes

Indy is usually pretty flexible on making adjustments. That's my impression from reading posts/comments on the Indy Passholders FB Group. Adding Platty makes sense to me. Then you're more likely to make the longer drive more than once or twice. That's what happens when you have a season...

    Season Passes

Yep, did an Idaho ski safari last March. Had 4 people starting from Boise. We had a great time in spite of not having the best snow conditions. I would go back. We stayed at Tamarack in slopeside resort lodging, mostly for the benefit of the two cautious intermediates who don't ski full...

    Season Passes

If you have a friend with an Epic pass, they will have "Epic Friend" passes for 2025-26 instead of the previous Buddy passes. Bottom line is that the discount for Epic Friend passes is simple, 50% across the board for every VR resort and no blackout dates. Plus someone who uses one can apply...

Building a T-bar and other 2025 summer work at Waterville Valley

The Ops Manager at Waterville Valley is writing blog articles about all the summer work going on. That includes building the new T-bar in-house. Very fun reading for anyone interested in the nitty gritty of what it takes to have a ski mountain ready for the next season when multiple upgrade...

    The Indy Pass

Greek was one of the initial mountains when Indy got started in 2019. I would guess Greek will stay on Indy. Montage was on Indy by 2021-22.

    The Indy Pass

Wonder if some of those people decided to get a Montage season pass. I have friends in the Philly area who consider Montage their home mountain. They go most weekends. The husband grew up skiing there. I gather there was (is?) a special deal for a season pass during a short window.

    The Indy Pass

Is Blue crowded midweek too? Or just Fri-Sun? I stopped by Blue last fall on the way to the Berkshires. Got a feel for the vibe when the lifts are running for mountain biking. There was also set up happening for an outdoor wedding at mid-mountain.

    The Indy Pass

Hah! I have you beat. I've stopped by Montage to meet up with a friend a couple of times since it joined Indy. I'd actually been there before Indy as well. For me, it's an add-on when I'm wandering around solo in the northeast during ski season. The fact that Montage is more or less near...

    The Indy Pass

That's too bad. Did you hear that from Montage? Sometimes it takes a while to get a new contract signed. So far, Indy has been doing annual contracts.
