“…snowmaking has been added to the section of Powder Pass below the split with North Star, and that the pipes on North Star and Pete Gay have been replaced.” Say goodbye to more natural ungroomed trails.

Look on the north side of Gore. Parts of Pipeline and Paradox are on that road.

There were earlier requests for a webcam at Harv’s Headquarters and that the base webcam show more of the Bear Cub Quad. But there is an additional Gore webcam sorely lacking, one which will tell us what we really need to know BEFORE we go, from the rooftop of Northwoods Lodge, the Gore Parking...

You had mentioned trying the Ski Bowl a while ago. In the past the Village Chair ran 11 am to 8 pm, so you may have to adjust your schedule a bit. But who knows what ORDA has up their sleeves for Ski Bowl now that we have a new lodge…..and portajons!

Terrapin Station (the album) one of my faves. What are some other posters’ favorite tunes for playing in your head while skiing? (We might need a separate blog page.)

I live less than 10 miles from the mountain on the New York side. The map shows no drought or dry for our area, same for Berkshire County in MA. And early October was the tail end of the drought, we have had a lot of rain in the area since then. They refill the pond from the creek at the...

Belleayre and Jiminy are comparable in size, but even Gore is killing it compared to “Little Killington.” I did laps both days, Jiminy has 1.5 miles of trail open, less than two feet of base and not full width in some places. It has a huge snowmaking system that can resurface the entire mountain...

Agreed. I would have been there a lot of the weekdays that they have been closed. Quite a difference from previous seasons when they did up and downloading to extend the season. I got the rah-rah end of season email from Gore today. Those used to come with a link to an online customer survey...

Nope, just looking for a little common sense. I’ve had epic days for the last two weeks at Gore. Hats off to the groomers for finding snow to creatively push around to keep trails open.

Gore announced an ice hold on all lifts early this morning, then gave up and closed for the day at 10:20 am. I wish there was a parking lot webcam so I could see how many pissed off customers risked the icy roads to get to the mountain. The ice couldn’t be “anticipated” for the 4 pm post...
