Excellent day, spent most of it in the woods. Caught the dark side rope drop this morning and first tracks on Macintyre. First time ever skiing Cave Glades and Abernake. My son said it was his most fun day of skiing ever.

I do find Gore has more closed trails than look like they could be open than most other mountains and also more of those trails are tracked up by poachers. Seems like a reasonable policy.

we could not find any glades yesterday, burnt also wasn’t open. Admiringly we did leave around 1 as being out in the freezing drizzle starting at 8 took its toll.

unfortunately most of the competitors are not staying in/around NC. They're all at the Great Escape lodge and take shuttles too and from the mountain. I believe that was by the direction of the state police, they wanted the competitors all in one place for security purposes.
