The issue isn't running the gondola (until it doesn't run), but not having a back-up plan for when it breaks down.

Congratulations to the folks who didn't ski to the bottom today while the Gondola was down for over an hour. Those semi-private Tahawus laps (with a chairlift ride up in the sun) must have been amazing! 🙌

I write this with the full knowledge that Gore is a state-run entity and today is a Thursday in November, but if your only way up the Mountain (The Gondola) consistently breaks down (for over an hour today) then you should have an alternative uphill option ready. ESPECIALLY, if you are selling...

The whole "wing" of the West Mountain Lodge (where the bathrooms are) used to be one giant arcade.

My brother and I took lessons there for a couple of years when I was 9 or 10. I believe it was $35 for the season. I loved the "lodge" and its arcade games, while my dad would have an apres' beer near the big fireplace.

Or you could just wake up earlier...

Got into the Casablanca Chutes today. SO. MUCH. FUN. Saddleback is a new favorite!

Just arrived in Rangely to do the same trip. The road almost shook my fillings out and I only saw ONE other car for the last two and a half hours.

Also, people like to stand in front of the two gates to wait for friends, instead of just going through the gate and waiting on the inside where there's plenty of room.
