A couple times when I've run at the Ho in summer, I've seen moose sign out on Porter Mountain. Been a long dang time since I've seen an actual moose tho. They're shy.

That might help. I don't know whether the new lodge is a boondoggle or not. But let me tell ya, ya haven't lived if you've never been in the old lodge when 600 kids show up for a high school sectional race.

Preface: this is all speculation on my part. However, back then, I don't think ORDA had any idea about doing major improvements at Mt van Ho that would violate DEC rules. I agree with everyone here scratching their heads over the wording of the proposition.

If ORDA, or whoever, had worked to secure an Article XIV exemption for the Ho 35 years ago, we wouldn't be having this discussion.
