    McCauley Conditions

Big Mac hasn't been hit by the big LE storms that hit Woods and Snowridge but there's still a real good base. Add a few inches of fresh snow from Saturday night into Sunday, and the whole mountain skied great yesterday.

    McCauley Conditions

Got to Big Mac early yesterday to a steady snow coming down. McCauley skied great until around lunch time when the weather turned into freezing rain/sleet. I turned into a popsicle and the mountain picked up a light glaze. Figured I'd take a break for lunch with the hope that snow would...

    McCauley Conditions

I drove up last night and just as I pulled in around 7:30pm, a light snow started to fall. Been steady since. Check of the webcams this morning and Mother Nature has not disappointed! Take your pick, McCauley or Snow Ridge, both are going to be powder days for sure!

well, they kind of took part of it down and moved some stuff around to make room for the new lift. The lift line is slightly closer to the chalet but its really the same line up. You will see the concrete bases for the old lift in a few places going up Helmers.

I bet you're thinking what I'm thinking. With Mac closed Tuesday, the snow from Monday thru Wednesday morning is going to make this a fantastic powder day. I'm planning to hit Mac Wednesday but I can't make it there until the early afternoon.

    McCauley Conditions

McCauley is open but is serviced only by the T-bar that goes up the side of Olympic. Will add that it is a really old t-bar with a steep rise at points. Truly for experts only. Snow was really good on Challenger and Olympic. They are hoping the new chair lift is completed by mid-January.

    McCauley Conditions

fyi, McCauley replaced their lift in the off-season and unfortunately, work is not yet complete on it. Word is that they are awaiting arrival of a certain tool to finish the chair lift. Target opening date is for Dec 26th. Snows been plentiful and steady since Thanksgiving. There is plenty...

Here at Big Moose Lake, skies went cloudy 5 minutes in then cleared up. We got lucky as the totality was really cool, temps included :)
