    ORDA's Biggest Mistakes

No snow was blown on Cloud yesterday and there didn't seem to be any guns set up either... My guess on the new lodge opening is being pushed to President's week, or maybe with some luck the end of January. This is because ORDA has continued it's charade of not compensating the Town of...

    ORDA's Biggest Mistakes

Yes, at this point there is no opening date for the new lodge. The idea of making snow at Ski Bowl early to highlight the new lodge was a novel idea. But, now that the lodge is not going to open, and the Minder Lodge is going to be what is open, and compounded by the decison to not blow the...

    Gore Mountain Conditions

I applaude you for speaking out to management and I hope that: A. They at least respond to you B. They tell you that it's an early season thing and will be remedied C. The chair will be run at least 5 days a week. In regards to the Sunway chair, it was a total fuckup by ORDA to not keep the...

    Gore Mountain Conditions

Yes, and that is why the Ski Bowl does not get Sno-Max, as that is incorporated in the system at the Pump Station next to the reservoir.

    Gore Mountain Conditions

You must have a case of CRS, they are blowing snow to be ready for the opening of the new Lodge. And yes, the Ski Bowl will be open independent of the main mountain, until the interconnect is ready.

    Gore Mountain Conditions

This🔝!! Gore is famous for promising and not delivering, and the coordination between marketing and ski patrol is non-existant on most days...

    Gore Mountain Conditions

I find it amusing that the Gore marketing department does not even make an attempt to say what trails are to open and where snow is being made...Obviously the members of that department attended the ORDA meeting titled "Shhh, don't tell anybody, it's a secret!" ;) 🤷‍♂️ :ROFLMAO:

    ORDA's Biggest Mistakes

Their (Gore) system is not set up to receive "outside" discharge, whereas Queensbury's system is deisgned to accept "outside" discharge, and that's where all of the local Septic Companies that pump tanks go to drop off.

    ORDA's Biggest Mistakes

The article today was basically a copy of the previous article. The Hold and Haul (ORDA will have a septic company pump the tank, and take it to the Town of Queensbury Sewage Treatment Plant), is a temporary fix until the Sewer System is online The Lodge will open when the restaurant receives...

    Whiteface Conditions

Well the skiing was really good today, but the crowd was unbelievable!! I, thankfully, have never had to deal with a lift line that long, and hopefully never again-45 minutes to load the Summit chair!! 🤬 :ROFLMAO:
