Of those three, although I would never go there unless I was given a pass, is Stratton. I am guessing south and east of here (Saratoga) is going to get more snow Friday into Saturday. I will probably get Gored this weekend. The winds should die down for Friday if that is an option.

    Gore Mountain Conditions

Hmm I was there at 8:15 and my first 5 runs were on the sunway chair. They got AEll running at 10 after shutting the guns off and putting the chairs on. Windy AF until you got to the summit and stayed at Straightbrook. Hawkeye was cord...nice if you like that. Most of Chati was the same...

    Gore Mountain Conditions

I skied WF yesterday and will be at Gore tomorrow. WF has longer runs, that's it. They definitely have more terrain open but to me it's all the same. We need bumps and trees before anything changes.

    Gore Mountain Conditions

We had those discussions on the lift today, Gore skiers always have opinions on what should open, who should ski where, where the guns should go next...ahh how awful things are... but we keep coming back. They had Chati lit up today. Topridge opened. Decent for a first groom. I heard Pine...

Gore Gondi fit my (cork's former) 96s...with a little room to spare. If you're too much over 100s then you're riding snowboards anyway lol. Use the big slot. We were at Stowe on Friday and decided to come home over General Stark Mountain and MRG guns were blazing also lol. The problem with...

    Gore Mountain Conditions

Today was interesting. The snow was incredible for November and so were the crowds. They sold out of day tickets today! The line to download was so long I just kept skiing. They were blowing on Sunway on my way down. Nothing else I noticed. Sunway to Quicksilver is close, They need skiing...

    Winter Weather Outlook 24/25

Since I wasn't on WF today, I am pretty bummed but I just drove out and back to Chicago for the long weekend and just didn't have it in me. That bein said, 9 years ago Duck and I (and we ran into Ron Kon) were able to ski all the way from the summit, even though the skis went on at the castle...

    Killington Conditions

A week ago tomorrow. Surprised noone posted anything. 9 months and still going. If I can't get to Argentina it will be Big Snow for July, August and Sept. The skiing was fairly good but after one time down the headwall, I chose Nevis for my next 4. Counting the walk to and from the car...

    Gore Mountain Conditions

Yes thanks to the quick thinking Gore Employees we made it up while the Gondi was down. Cork you were probably on it when it broke. A bunch of you had the mountain to yourselves for a while. We were the 2nd Trax up but Howie's was sliding at the last pitch, so they dropped us at the base of...

    Gore Mountain Conditions

Is Burnt Ridge done for the year? Skied it yesterday and around mid morning. we came down to a stopped lift. They fired up the diesel and said it would run like that all day. Until the top softened, both Echo and Backwoods were deer valley cord. 8 total before I went up. It was only...

    Gore Mountain Conditions

I took the Harvey route...We Got Gored today. I am sure there were some that played today right and had some fun. I would have been happy with just getting to Sagamore and back, I would have kept lapping 46er and Moxam too, but when Hudson shut down I was leaving. I managed to take two...

    Gore Mountain Conditions

It's all good. Today was great. Tomorrow will be great. We needed this and it will help us go just a little bit longer. My ruler in my back yard showed 16" but my wife took a reading on the deck at 18". Just west of Saratoga. Today pretty much everything was in play. We skied Chatimac, yes...

Total Solar Eclipse coming to NY: April 8, 2024

I heard from a somewhat reliable source that Gore is closing at 2pm on April 8 2024. Why? putting the skins in my bag...I am sort of old...The first one i saw we had to look at the reflections off the hood of a car(not total but cool), the second one was through the crazy glasses(almost...

    Gore Mountain Conditions

Cool, I only used the North Chair to get out of Burnt Ridge. I thought about Sleeping Bear but skipped it because that chair cuts my ski time when I have to get to work. Sagamore was definitely my ROTD, Backwoods was nice and the runout was fast so no issue. Topridge eh, same snow as Lies...
